Medical TRIADS....For a quick revision

here are some of the commonly asked Triads....
1. Charcot's Triad (Ascending Cholangitis)
     Jaundice,fever and RUQ pain..

2. Congenital Syphilis:
    Hutchinson teeth,Interstitial keratitis, SN hearing loss..

3. Saint's Triad:
    Diverticulosis, Gall stones, Hiatal Hernia,
    Pn. saint tried to diG asH...

4. Sampter's Triad:
    Nasal polyp, Aspirin sensitivity, Asthama..

5. Beck's Triad (Cardiac Temponade):
    Hypotension, Distended neck veins, muffled heart sounds..

6. Gradenigo Triad (acute petrositis) :
    sixth cranial nerve palsy, deep retro orbital pain, ear discharge..

7.  Mackler's Triad (Boerhaave's syndrome):
     Vomiting, chest pain, subcutaneous emphysema

8. Sandblom's Triad (Hemobilia):
    GI bleed, Biliary colic, Jaundice..

9. Unhappy triad of Donoghue :
    Injury to--- medial collateral ligament,medial meniscus,Ant. Cruciate ligament..

10. Vogt's Triad (Tuberous Sclerosis):
      Seizures, mental retardation, Adenoma sebaceum..

11. Whipples triad (Insulinoma) :
      Serum glucose less than 40mg/dl, correction after glucose infusion, signs and symptoms of hypoglycemia..
                         
12. Triad of RCC:
      Pain,Lump,Hematuria..
   
      Triad of Wilm's tumour:
      Fever,Lump,Hematuria..

13. Triad of NPH (normal pressure hydrocephalus):
       Ataxia,dementia, Urinary incontinence..

14. Zollinger- Ellison Syndrome triad:
      Hypergastrinemia, peptic ulcer, non beta cell tumour..

15. Rigler's triad (gall stone ileus) : 
      Pnemobilia(air in GB), partial/complete bowel obstruction, gall stone in ileum..

16. Brochardt's Triad (gastric volvulus):
      vomiting followed by retching and then inability to vomit,
      epigastric distention,
      inabilty to pass N-G tube..

17. Hand Schuller Christian disease (Histiocytosis X):
      Calvarial defect, Diabetes insipidus, proptosis..

18. Quinke's triad (Hepatic aneurysm rupture):
      Epigastric pain, Hemobilia, Obstructive jaundice..
